Do not guy yourselves,have a radar for attractive men, but I believe that there seems to be less of an idealistic "type" of good looking man that could satisfy the majority of females whereas I believe the ideal for male is more refined. One either gender meet their match for their own ideal mate... well it usually game over (note 1).

Need help figuring out a title for this novel?
Set many years after an apocalypse (not a nuclear war, biological and chemical warfare was the cause), humans have started to live more naturally, in tribes and such, becoming vegetarians and abandoning technology completely, and using sex as a means of reproduction. It is a mostly peaceful future, no war, no violence, no need for greed… at least on the human side, this is a major premise of the novel, the splicers. Not long before the end of the war, scientist were getting into genetic engineering, splicing together animal, and at one point humans. These first human splices eventually learned to use the splicing technology, eventually they became millions and spread to all other countries. In an attempt to eradicate them the military used bio weapons that were “supposed” to only affect splicers. This is how the world ended. In the years after the war there was kinda a role reversal, the humans becoming pretty much smart animals. The splicers started becoming the new humans, using the splicing technology to keep up their number (since they cannot sexually reproduce successfully), killing animals for meat, creating weaponry (though most of the splicers use crudely made machetes and hatchets, guns almost never appear in the novel). They also kill humans on sight, they believe humans are remnants of the old days and as long as they live they cannot proceed further into the future, they kill them and display their bodies (the entire wall of the splicers main city is made from human corpses, and there’s a lake made entirely out of blood). A little physical description of the splicers, well they do vary depending on the animal they were spliced together with, but none of them will be outrageous, nothing like a man with the head of a bear and the arms of a lobster, they will still be generally human, only with extra stuff like a furless tail, goat like hooves, or fleshy membrane between their fingers and armpits (not like webbed fingers, bit more skin) also if they have any fur (hair and beards don’t count) then they won’t have anything else, also their voices won’t be animalistic at all, their voice will be “far to human”.

The novel begins with a woman running from something, cradling an infant in her arms, after a long chase she is intersected by an axe man, she is killed instantly. The things chasing her were splicers (at this point you won’t know what splicers are, they and the war are explained latter in the novel (not all at once)), the splicers then discuses what is to be done with the guy, and settle on throwing it in a near by river. A local human tribal saves the infant (which will be the novels protagonist, who becomes the last “old world human” who eats meat, is pretty damn horny, and generally violent, making him the only one who can fight against the splicers).

"Uh...how 'bout no.? Andy said, taking Elisha's iPod and scrolling through her songs. "Now this is more like it."
Suddenly, Junior M.A.F.I.A.'s "Get Money" came blaring from the speakers. Andy and Jamie began to recite the vulgar chorus from the song. Rolling her eyes, Elisha stalked off, grabbing Mark by the arm.
"Let's go somewhere...private." Nicole whispered in Carter's ear.
Excitement ran down his loins. He was more than ready to spend some alone time with sexy Nicole. When he left his friends, he and Nicole walked over to a deserted pool. Carter couldn't have thought of anything more convenient than that.
He immediately pulled her down on his lap and began to kiss her all over. She giggled and tried to fight him off, but she eventually moaned in ecstasy and gave in. And that was when everyone and everything disappeared. There was no more people to interrupt them from what they were doing, no more Savannah pouting and huffing everywhere they were, and most importantly; no more Savannah to distract him.
"Why so horny?" Nicole asked, running a finger across his six-pack.
"Hey!" he said, feigning offense. "I don't appreciate that."
"Haha, okay. Then why so excited."
"Cause I'm with you." he said, kissing her on the nape of her neck.
"Good answer." she said, chuckling.
They kissed for a few more minutes in total bliss. Carter felt like Nicole was the one he should have been with all along. Savannah was too difficult for him. He needed someone more up this level. And that someone was Nicole. But it did kind of excite him over the fact that two girls were practically vying for his affections. That he did enjoy. He just didn't like the Savannah's pettiness. Just because Nicole was dating Carter, it didn't mean she had to be mean to her. Everyone knew Savannah still wanted him, but that was just too bad. Carter was going to stand by Nicole no matter what.

Hmm...

I thought you did a good job describing Savannah. Comparing her to Rhianna in the beginning caused my mind to instantly conjure up an image for her. So good job on that part.

The whole awkward situation in the beginning set a nice light-hearted feeling for the story. I can tell you were going for a humorous feel with this story, and I like the way you went with it.

It has some rough edges but keep working! Every story has a universe of potential.
